WHO WE ARE
Yoga Alliance (YA) is a global, independent, member-based organization that advances the development and livelihood of yoga professionals and advocates for safety and accessibility in yoga. We support yoga schools and teachers through the establishment and upholding of industry-leading credentials and the creating, sharing and providing of education and other resources. YA promotes unity in yoga – so that all lineages, traditions and yoga organizations may thrive, and all students may benefit, from the gifts of yoga in the way that best suits their needs. We do this work so that the teachings of yoga can be offered safely and effectively to all.
WHO YOU ARE
You have a passion for serving customers and clients and enjoy leading and motivating a service-driven team. You are mission-oriented and know that success extends well beyond the bottom line. You think on your feet and focus on solutions, not problems, with respect to your approach to projects and management. You also thrive working within organizations in transition, recognizing challenges as opportunities and not pitfalls.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
You and your team serve the global yoga community through the delivery of outstanding, high-quality service to members and prospective members from yoga schools across the globe. You represent Yoga Alliance’s teaching standards to the yoga school community and manage the acceptance, review and approval of all Registered Yoga School (RYS®) applications. You also guide proactive community outreach amongst the school-based membership in an effort to foster community engagement and to support membership growth and retention.
As the team’s manager, you additionally set staff schedules, track department metrics, hold challenging conversations and oversee the day-to-day RYS® credentialing operations.
