You and your team serve the global yoga community through the delivery of outstanding, high-quality service to members and prospective members from yoga schools across the globe.  You represent Yoga Alliance’s teaching standards to the yoga school community and manage the acceptance, review and approval of all Registered Yoga School (RYS®) applications.  You also guide proactive community outreach amongst the school-based membership in an effort to foster community engagement and to support membership growth and retention.

As the team’s manager, you additionally set staff schedules, track department metrics, hold challenging conversations and oversee the day-to-day RYS® credentialing operations. 


  • Operate in a personable and friendly fashion, providing outstanding service to Yoga Alliance member and prospects, to the credentialing team and to other departments
  • Maintain a positive attitude in a dynamic, fast-paced environment within an evolving organization undergoing high growth and change
  • Lead the team in alignment with the organization’s mission and the department’s goals
  • Train team members to provide high quality, professional responses that align with Yoga Alliance’s culture as well as its brand and writing guidelines
  • Liaise with Member Support and Information Technology to resolve tickets in service of membership registration
  • Work collaboratively with other departments to solve problems and complete projects
  • Assess RYS applications as needed and perform other tasks and responsibilities as assigned by Membership leadership


  • Someone with 2+ years of work experience as a manager or supervisor in a customer service-oriented industry such as retail, hospitality, associations, agency or non-profit with a proven track record of guiding a team to align with an organizational mission
  • Someone with copy writing experience who can communicate to the target audience via emails, articles or blogs
  • A lover of metrics
  • Someone who has developed onboarding and other training materials and who has facilitated trainings in group or one-on-one sessions
  • A leader with high EQ and who strives for strong, interpersonal relationships
  • Someone adept at the Microsoft suite of products as well as various database management systems and other software programs
  • A yoga teacher and/or experienced yoga student
  • Someone with the desire to support the broader yoga and mindfulness community
  • A holder of a BS or BA degree
