Do you have a passion for serving yoga teachers and school owners? Yoga Alliance is seeking a Member Support Representative to support the global yoga community by responding to questions by email about the Yoga Alliance credentialing program, initiatives, benefits of membership, account navigation, and more. The MSR may also engage with members through phone calls as needed. They are efficient with Microsoft Office, databases, tracking logs and the Membership Management System (MMS). The MSR represents Yoga Alliance on the “front lines” by fielding questions and feedback.

Responsibilities:

Assist and support members with navigating the Membership Management System to register, renew, submit continuing education, access benefits, and more

Relay accurate information about standards, policies, member benefits, and initiatives that align with YA’s mission and brand

Provide excellent personable, friendly, and professional customer service skills

Ability to express complex concepts in a clear, diplomatic and tactful manner

Ability to take initiative to complete tasks, trouble shoot and solve problems

Qualifications:

One or more years of work experience in related customer service field

Superior oral and written communication skills 

Excellent listening and phone skills

Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build positive working relationships

Experience responding to emails, writing articles, and/or writing blogs

Excellent technology skills: Microsoft Office, databases, software programs, tracking logs and MMS

Reliability and punctuality

Willingness to support other departments, if/when needed

Holds an RYT designation, and/or has completed extensive studies in teaching yoga is a plus
